downtown wine & cheese

trifold brochure

I was tasked with identifying a venue in Gainesville, Florida and making a trifold brochure for it. Downtown Wine & Cheese is frequented by upper level college students ages 24-28, primarily females. They cater to a crowd that is active late at night, is planning social gatherings, graduation parties and bridal showers. In addition Downtown Wine & Cheese host wine tasting and wine classes.

ideation

The idea, here, was to appeal to the sophisticated sensibilities of the young adult female crowd. The overall design was inspired by art deco since art deco represents sophistication, a time when the young were flirting with life and each other and a celebratory outlook.

A charcoal black color was chosen for a sophisticated look. Soft, focused light was used in the photos of the wine and chocolate to lend a romantic feel. Hand illustrated imagery complements the cozy, wine cellar, mom and pop feel of the venue.
